| With the recent earthquake and tsunami natural disaster which impacted Japan, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Japan has been presented with the challenge of responding to this disaster. Members of the church throughout the world have responded generously with donations to assist in this work. The Japan Union Conference is prepared to accept direct donations from individuals for this effort. In the case of donors from the United States who may desire making tax-deductible donations, the following should be noted: |
- To receive tax-deductible receipts, members should make donations through their local churches. The local church treasurer should be informed that the donation is for “Japan Earthquake Relief.” The tax-deductible receipt will be issued by the local church treasurer and the donations will be passed on to the conference for processing through regular church channels.

- It should be noted that the General Conference is not in a position to receipt individual donations; however, should a local church wish to consolidate donations received from their members they may consider passing on one check to the General Conference as listed below to expedite the sending of funds to the Japan Union Conference:
